3 Rivers Angler is located in Knoxville, Tennessee at the headwaters of the Tennessee River; a river which has carved its way deep into the soul of the area, forming a watery boundary between the Appalachian Mountains to the southeast and the Cumberland Plateau to the northwest. Our unique location in the Tennessee Valley places us within an hour’s drive to either small, remote rhododendron choked streams tucked high in the Smoky Mountains or the large wide open tailwaters located in the valley. So whether it’s crawling from pool to pool casting dries to weary brook trout on the high altitude streams, stalking super selective brown and rainbow trout on the tailwaters of the Clinch and Holston Rivers, or chasing trophy smallmouth bass on one of east Tennessee’s many blue-ribbon warm-water resources, 3 Rivers Angler guide service has got you covered.
All of 3 Rivers Angler’s guides are local and know the waters in and around the Knoxville area extensively due to their countess days on the water learning where every last rock is located and where the fish are holding. In addition to knowing the waters all of our staff are excellent instructors and a part of every day on the water involves coaching the finer aspects of fly fishing. From the beginner who needs help tying a knot to the expert who wants to target only the largest fish in the river; our guides will go the extra mile to ensure that your fly fishing experience lives up to your expectations. The waters we fish are the finest the area has to offer, not to mention some of the finest in the world.
Our guide trips include everything you’ll need for your day on the water including terminal tackle and flies. Our full day trips include a streamside lunch and beverages. If anyone in your party has any dietary restrictions please let us know in advance so that we may accommodate their needs. Rods and wading equipment can be provided upon request. Anglers will require a freshwater fishing license for all trips and a trout stamp for trout trips. These can be obtained with our assistance at the shop prior to your trip or at https://www1.tn.wildlifelicense.com/start.php.
